Christmas tree exorcist

So no sh*t there I was 7 years ago with Cousin Jake one cold AF Saturday evening with our friend Mishey in the back of a pickup truck hoisting several dead, ornament-stripped ex Christmas trees into a pre destined fire pit not unlike one of many locations in Southern California. We drank mulled wine and listened to drums and watched fire breathers & dancers next to the ocean twirling fire sticks chanting, laughing and howling while watching more trees being brought from trucks and cars all across the shore line and put into fire pits watching them burn.
…I asked Jake how long this ritual had been occurring, he said for years.
“You do realize that pine, juniper and cedar are the base for some components used in spells for banishing and exorcisms,  right?” I asked.
He took a shot of whiskey before relighting his cigarette with a burning tree twig and replied:
“Why the hell do you think we do it?”

I found out this happens at nearly every beach in California…as well as some beaches across the country.
(Within ordinances in some locations)

I don’t know about y’all,  but I think this REALLY needs to happen the first weekend of 2021…to exorcise 2020.
Your thoughts?
